I spent golden hour at Kennesaw Mountain with this stunning family, and their two kiddos came ready to PLAY!

Marietta Family Photographer | Family Session at Kennesaw Mountain

Family

Brooke and her family met me at Kennesaw Mountain for their family session with me, and we had the absolute best time together. Mom is actually a fellow photographer and had been following me on Facebook, which made it such an honor that she chose me as her Marietta family photographer. Their five-year-old daughter and 11-month-old baby boy came ready to PLAY!

And honestly? Those are some of my FAVORITE sessions. Dad was tossing the baby into the air, the kids were running around, and we were all laughing way more than we probably expected to.

Below I’m recapping the Sivley family’s session for anyone in Marietta looking for family photography with me, but head here if you want more details about my family photography!

What This Family Wore for Their Marietta Family Photography

I absolutely loved what this family chose to wear for their family pictures. Dad kept things classic and casual in a blue long-sleeve button-up shirt, blue jeans, grey sneakers, and a black baseball cap. Mom wore a gorgeous short-sleeve, V-neck burgundy maxi dress with black sandals.

Their five-year-old daughter wore a sweet patterned dress featuring shades of pink, teal, white, and mustard. She also had a second outfit—a pink spaghetti-strap maxi dress with layers of lace and a brown wide-brim hat.

And then there was her baby brother. This little guy wore a blue-and-white striped shirt with blue jeans and suspenders, paired with the sweetest little brown suede shoes. I mean… suspenders on a baby?! Come on. Adorable.

This Family Came Ready to PLAY at Kennesaw Mountain

One of my favorite things about this family was how playful Dad was with both of his kids. He was not afraid to play around, make them laugh, or get a little crazy. And that is exactly what I want during a family photoshoot!

Kennesaw Mountain gave us open fields, wood fencing, and dirt paths for plenty of variety. It’s also close to Marietta neighborhoods like Whitlock, which sits between Marietta Square and Kennesaw Mountain.

And let me tell you: IT WAS HOT. Like… really hot. But we didn’t let the heat ruin a thing. We played, we laughed, we moved around, and somehow, when I look back at the pictures, all I see are the smiles and the fun.

Dad throwing that sweet baby boy into the air was one of my absolute favorite parts. And then Dad held him upside down. Yes. Upside down. The baby’s expressions were priceless, and I was just clicking away!

Those are the images that show who your child really was at that age. Not just what they looked like. Who they were.

Ready to Book Your Marietta Family Photographer Near You?

If you have ever thought, “My kids are WAY too wild for pictures,” your kids are probably perfect for me. Seriously. You don’t need perfectly behaved children, everyone sitting still, or your toddler smiling at the camera for an entire hour.
