Sarah and her family met me at Little Nancy Creek Park for a quick spring mini session with me. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing their family several times now, and each time is sweeter than the last! Mom originally found me on Facebook while looking for a Buckhead family photographer. Their kids are 3, 6, and 9 years old and have the most joyful energy and the kindest spirits. I love when children are down to have fun and play around!

The trees were starting to bloom at Little Nancy Creek Park, and the sun was shining bright, giving us the happiest feeling photos to match all the smiles.
What This Family Wore for Their Buckhead Family Photography
Can we take a minute to applaud mom on her outfit selections? This is the PERFECT example of mixing patterns and colors while keeping everything coordinating.
Mom used a mixture of blues and pinks, and if I do say so myself, she pieced it all together beautifully! She wore a patterned dress with shades of pink, green, and blue and brought the pink out with big sister’s pink dress.
Brother wore a darling striped shirt with white and blue and some green shorts. GENUIS way to mix colors right there! Little sister wore a blue dress with florals and green stems. Lastly, dad was easy peasy with a blue shirt and blue jeans!
A Playful Spring Family Session at Little Nancy Creek Park
We started out all bunched up together for a quick portrait of the entire family. Then we threw the parents out and got the sweetest snuggle hug of just the kiddos. This is one of my favorite photos from the session.
As a mama, nothing beats photos of your babies together in what genuinely seems like a good time. Real smiles—not forced—that is always the goal.
Of course we had to tell the kids to take a hike so we could take a few pictures of the two that started it all. Imagine all the “ews, yucks” and giggles as the kids watched their parents dote on each other. That always makes me laugh!
Now that we got the good ol’ boring pictures out of the way, it was time to PLAAAYYY!
We threw brother on dad’s shoulders, had big sis holding mom’s hand, and swung little sister in the middle. The smiles get me every time!! I think my FAVORITE is when the kiddos ran off holding hands while mom and dad stood behind them holding hands. UGH my heart!
We grouped together for one more tickle attack before getting individual photos of the kiddos. If you’re ever wondering what is a great way to get kids to authentically smile in photos? TICKLE ATTACK! Works almost every time.
Little Nancy Creek Park is tucked near North Buckhead and has a wooded setting along Nancy Creek, an open lawn, and a short trail that crosses the creek on two bridges. There’s even a bench-swing overlook along the trail, giving this little neighborhood park plenty of variety.
