Cator Woolford Gardens Maternity Photos | Atlanta GA

Nicole met me at Cator Woolford Gardens in Atlanta, GA in June for her maternity session with me at 21 weeks pregnant. She was expecting her fifth baby and her first little girl, Violet! Nicole is actually a fellow photographer, so I was SO honored when she asked me to take her maternity pictures! I suggested Cator Woolford Gardens because I knew she wanted something dreamy, and she loved the idea.

This was Nicole’s fourth pregnancy, and after four boys, she was finally expecting her first baby girl!

I always feel so grateful when another photographer asks me to capture such an important time because I know how many photographers they have to choose from. It means the world to me when another photographer values my work. It means the world to me when other photographers value my work!

And let me tell you…we could not have asked for a more gorgeous day. It was sunny, not a cloud in the sky, and HOT. Good ol’ Georgia summer weather!

Maternity Photos on the Cator Woolford Gardens Staircase

Cator Woolford Gardens is a gorgeous wedding venue in Atlanta, Georgia that features breathtaking pathways through massive flowers and truly beautiful landscaping. Their grand staircase is a client favorite for obvious reasons. Just look at it! The steps are surrounded by lush green bushes and trees, making you feel like you are at a magical castle deep in the woods. If you’re looking for a fairytale garden location for your photoshoot near Atlanta, Georgia, this is your spot!

We started the session at the large staircase while mom wore my pink tulle maternity gown with layers of ruffles and soft tulle. The sweetest touch was the delicate flowers she placed in her French braided hair.

I placed mom at the bottom of the steps and had her place one arm on her back with the other on her sweet baby bump as she looked off in the distance.

Dreamy Garden Maternity Photos

Next, we made our way to a rounded arch with columns and stunning vines of greenery hanging from above. Mom placed one arm under her belly and one arm on her shoulder as she turned her head to the side.

We stopped for a few minutes under a gorgeous tree, and mom sat on a bench while she looked down at her tiny miracle growing inside her belly. The columns in the background made for the dreamiest backdrop.

Dreams came true for me when we stepped into the floral pathway, and mom stood next to the most dramatic white hydrangeas that really took these photos to the next level of eye-candy.

Second Dress Mama Wore

Before we left, we had to snag a few photos in a backup dress I brought, and mom was totally up for it! I am so happy we got a couple of pictures in a different outfit because I feel like this dress complimented the floral landscape perfectly.

This next dress was a stunning lilac/periwinkle maternity gown with embroidered and 3D flowers and a chiffon bow that hangs off one shoulder for the dreamiest touch.

We initially only set out to take photos with mom in the pink maternity dress, but I’m thrilled that she was open to wearing the second gown because I feel like it truly brought out the delicate floral setting we were standing in.

These Cator Woolford Gardens maternity photo were something out of a fairytale between the breathtaking outdoor location, the stunning pregnant mama, and the droolworthy maternity dresses.
